Four things make SUSTENANCE Come to you freely

Standing Up At Night To Pray: The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"AIlaah says, 'O Son of Adam! Take time out to constantly worship me, I will fill your hands with richness, and remove your poverty. And if you do not do so, I will make your hands filled with occupation, and will not remove your poverty." (Tirmidhi)

Making Repentance Late At Night: Allaah says: "I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; 'He will send rain to you in abundance; 'And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.' " (Q71[Nuh]: I0-12)

Giving Charity Habitually: Allaah says: "Say: "Truly, my Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His slaves, and (also) restricts (it) for him, and whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah's Cause), He will replace it. And He is the Best of providers.” (Q34[Saba]:39)

Remembering Allaah In The First And Last Part Of The Day. Allaah says:

"In houses (mosques), which Allah has ordered to be raised (to be cleaned, and to be honoured), in them His Nome isglorified in the mornings and in the afternoons or the evenings, Men whom neither trade nor sale diverts them from the Remembrance of Allah (with heart and tongue), nor from performing As- Salat (Iqamat-as Salat), nor from giving the Zakat. They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (from the horror of the torment of the Day of Resurrection)." (Q24[Nur]:36-37)

Four things prevent SUSTENANCE From coming to you

Sleeping Through The Morning: The morning is blessed for seeking sustenance. The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"O AIlaah, bless my people in their early mornings."

When he sent out a detachment or an army, he sent them at the beginning of the day. Sakhr was a merchant, and he would send off his merchandise at the beginning of the day; and he became rich and had much wealth." (Tirmidhi)

Not Praying Frequently: In ahadeeth Qudsi:

Allaah says: "We send down wealth for the establishment of prayer and paying zakaah." (Saheeh al-Jaami)

Laziness: The Prophet (salolloahu alayhi wa sallam) used to pray:

"O AIlaah! I seek refuge with You from distress and sorrow, from helplessness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, from being heavily in debt and from being overcome by men." (Bukhari)

Sinfulness: The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"A man will be deprived of rizq (provision) because of sins that he commits." (Ibn Majah)
