BY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NAMES OF ALLAH

"When my servants ask thee concerning Me I am indeed close (to them); I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me; let them also with a will listen to My call and believe in Me; that they may walk in the right way". (Q2:186)

Still man is weak and so many things are beyond his grip, including his life. A little gale of tribulation and misfortune is enough to throw him into a quicksand of despair. But Allah is the source of reliance and the only hope man could hold on to when doors begin to closed.

Thus when all seems lost and the four walls of the world begins to close in on you, Allah is there for you, call upon Him

"call on Me and I will answer You" (Q40:60).

He prefers that you approach Him by His names:

"To Allah belongs the names most beautiful, so call Him by them" (Q40:60).

He did promise and the promise of Allah is true. So ask Him:

"Allahumma Inni as'aluka bi asmaika-l-husna wa bi rahmatika lati wasi'at kulla shayhim (Q7:156).

Wa bi Quwwatika'llati qahharta biha kulla shayhin. Wa bi asmaika lati mallat arkana kulli shayhin. YaNuT. Ya Quddus, YaAwwal li awwaleena wa YaAkhir li akhiriina."

("O Allah! I ask You by the names most beautiful and by Your Mercy which embraces all things (Q7:156);

And by Your strength through which You dominate all things; By Your names which have filled the foundations all things. You are the Light! You are the Holy One! You are the First of those who are first and the Last of those who are last.")

"Qul-id'ullah haw-id'ur rahman, ayyam ma tad'u falahul asma'ulltusna ..."

("Say: "Call upon Allah or call upon Rahman: by whatever name you call upon Him (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. .. '(Q17:I10)

"Huwal la hul lazi la ila ha illa huwa aa limul gaibi was shahaadati huwar rahmanur rahim"

Allah is He than whom there is no other god Who knows (all things) both secret and open; He is Most Gracious Most Merciful." (Q59:22)

"...wa la tajHar bi sala tika wa la tukha fit biha wa-btagi'baina za lika sabila."

"...Neither speak your Prayer aloud nor speak it in a low tone but seek a middle course between." (Q17:I10).

"La i1aha iIalIah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa-lahul-hamdu, wahuwa ala kuIli shai in qadir. AIIahumma Ia mani'a lima a'taita, wa la mu'tiya lima mana'ta, wa la yanfa'u dhaI-jaddiminka-l-jadd."

(None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and He has no partner in Lordship or in worship or in the Names and the Qualities, and for Him is the Kingdom and all the praises are for Him and He is omnipotent O Allah! Nobody can hold back what you give and nobody can give what You hold back. Hard (efforts by anyone or anything cannot benefit one against Your Will)." (Bukhari)
