The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade fasting on the Day of Fitr and the Day of Adha.
When you see the new crescent, then fast, and when you see it, then stop fasting. If it is cloudy, then fast thirty days.
He who observe the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal, it would be as if he fasted perpetually.
We used to give one Sa'a of meal, or bailey, or dates, or cottage cheese, or dried grapes as Zakaat-ul-fitri.
Oh Allah! Forgive us our sins, grant us the reward of our fast, spare our lives till next Ramadan.
Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the hereafter that which is good and protect us from the punishment of fire.
Do not end your good deeds with Ramadan.
Make the remaining days better than the past ones.
The night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months.
'Aishah narated: O Messenger of Allah, what do you think i should say if i come upon Lailat-ul-Qadr. He said: say:
Allahumma innaka 'afuwun tuhibil-'afwa fa'fu anni.
Seek Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last week (of Ramadan).
Start preparing for I'tikaf.
