Indexing Muslim grave yards, hospitals, madrasahs and lecture centers

All praises be to Allaah. May His peace and blessings be on his noble Messenger, his household, his companions and whoever follows his path till the day of reckoning. To the glory of Allaah, we are (re)launching the first phase of dawahnigeria Directory project. It is a platform with an audacious mission to track and index information about numerous facets relevant to the deen of an average Nigerian Muslim .

In this first phase, we begin with internal and external sourcing (crowd-sourcing) for data about Muslim grave yards, hospitals, madrasahs and lecture centers. The listing of madrasah and lecture centers would not be fully open for entry but revolve around dawahnigeria resource persons across Nigeria.

To enhance information retrieval, users would be able to do advanced text-based searching and geo-searching. We have also implemented a proximity search with which users can search for entities based on how close or far it is to a specified location (i.e How many madrasahs are in a 5km radius around me?)

Sure, we would need help in gathering data. The first implementation of this project was shut down long ago after it became clear that we could not marshal the resources to gather data on our own. Now, it is back with a modified strategy to use YOU and ME. Your help is sought either through direct collection or by you meeting relevant bodies who have them. We beseech Allaah to honour you and me more by making us part of this documentation effort to make practicing our deen easier.
