The hadeeth, From Ubaadah bin Saamit (may Allaah be pleased him) who said that the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever testifies that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone, having no partner and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger and that Isaa is a slave of Allaah and His Messenger an His Word which He pronounced unto Maryam and a soul from Him (i.e. a soul from the souls He created), and that Paradise is true and the Fire is true, then Allaah will admit him to Paradise in accordance with his deeds. "
The Reporter of the Hadeeth, Ubaadah bin Saamit ai-An saari (may Allaah be pleased with him) was one of early Muslim from Madeenah. He fought all the battles that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) fought. Later, he became a scholar of the Quraan in Madeenah and then in Shaam (Syria). He died in Jerusalem in the year32A.H. (after Hijrah)
The Meaning ofthe Hadeeth: This hadeeth teaches us five matters. Whoever believes in all of them and acts with truth upon the five things will enter Paradise.
The First: His saying: Whoever testifies that none has the right to be worshipped alone, having no partner. This means to believe in Allaah with truth and certainty. It is to know that Allaah is One and that only Him should be worshipped. It also means that we should act upon this belief by doing the things that Allaah wants us to go and to stay away from those things that He ordered us not to do.
The Second: His saying: ... that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger ... This means to believe that Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah without any doubt. Allaah sent him to the entire world with the complete and final message. We must also believe that he is the final prophet [the Seal of all Prophets] and that no other prophet will come after him. We must belief that everything he told us, we must obey all his orders and stay away from what he has prohibited.
The Third: His saying: ... and that Isaa is a slave of Allaah and His Messenger and His Word which He pronounced unto Maryam and a soul from Him (i.e. a soul from the souls He created) .. . This is to believe that Prophet Isaa (Jesus) (peace be upon him) is one of the slaves of Allaah and one of His messengers. It is the belief that he is not the son of illegal sexual intercourse (fornication), as the Jews claim, and he is not Allaah or the son of Allaah or the holy ghost, as the Christians claim.
Rather he is a slave of Allaah, who sent him to the Children of Israel, to call them to worship Allaah alone. And verily Allaah created Isaa by the word Be without a father just like Allaah created Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) by the word Be without both the father and the mother. Allaah Akbar! Allaah is indeed the Greatest!
The Fourth: "That Paradise is true means that we should belief that alannah is a fact, it exists already and here is no doubt about it. Allaah has prepared Paradise for those who believe in Him and obey Him. It is a beautiful place that the believers and those who follow Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will stay in forever. The fifth: "That the Fire is true - means that Hell Fire [al-Jahanam] is true and it exists.
It is the final place of punishment that those who do not belief and the hypocrites will stay in forever. Whoever believes in these five matters and acts upon them, then Allaah will admit. him into Paradise; even if sometimes, he falls short and he commits sins. This is because he worshipped Allaah alone and he was . sincere in that.
The Benefits of the Hadeeth
