Allaah is One! He has no partner, no son, neither wife nor daughter, or any helper of any kind. All Muslims must know this and all worship must be made only to Allaah. Allaah says: "Your Ilaah (God) is One (Allaah, none has the right to be worshipped but He). But for those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts deny (the faith in the oneness of Allaah), and they are proud." (Q16:22).
This is called Tawheed. All Prophets from Aadam to Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon them) taught it. Remember your Suratul-Ikhlas, the chapter of sincerity? Allaah tells us He is one! He says: "Say: "He is Allaah, (the) One. "Allaah-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks). "He begets not, nor was He begotten; "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." (Q112:1-3)
