Muadh ibn Jabal narrated: "I asked the Prophet (PBUH): Messenger of Allah, tell me of something which should cause me to be admitted to Paradise and will keep me away from the Fire. He answered: "You have asked about a matter of great importance but it is easy for one for whom Allah makes it easy. Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him. Observe Prayer, pay the Zakat, observe the Fast of Ramadan and perform the Pilgrimage if you can afford the journey". Then he added: "Shall I inform you of the gates of goodness? The fasting is a shield against evil, the charity extinguishes(the fire of sin) just as water extinguishes fire, the prayer of a person during the middle of the night. "Then he recited::

"Their limbs do forsake their beds of sleep the while they call on their Lord in fear and hope: and they spend (in charity) out of the sustenance which We have bestowed on them. Now no person knows what delights of the eye are kept hidden (in reserve) for them as a reward for their (good) Deeds". (Q32:16-17)

Then he added: "Should I not direct you to the highest level of this matter, to the pillar on which (it rests) and its top?" I said: "Allahs Messenger Yes, (do tell me)". He said: "The uppermost level of the matter is al-lslam. Its pillar is the prayer and its top is Jihad". He then said: "Should I not inform you of the sheet anchor of all this?" I said: "Allahs Messenger (of course do it). He took hold of his tongue and said: "Exercise restraint on it". I said: O Rasulullah, would we be held responsible for what we say with :it?" Thereupon he said: "Will anything else besides (irresponsible) talk cause the people to be thrown into the Hell-Fire upon their faces or on their nostrils?" (Tirmidhi)

From Abu Hurairah (RA) that Rasul (PBUH) climbed up the mimbar (pulpit) and said:  "Amin (O Allaah! Grant it). Amin!! Amin!!! So it was said, O Messenger of Allaah, you climbed upon the mimbar and said Amin! Amin!! Amin!!!? So he said: Indeed Jibril (AS) came to me and said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and does not have (his sins) forgiven and so enters the fire then may Allaah distance him, say Amin So I said Amin! (Muslim)

Abu Umaamah al-Baahilii (RA) said: I heard Allah's Messenger (PBUH) say: "While I was sleeping, two men came to me and took hold of my arms and brought me to a steep mountain and said: "climb. " So I said "I am not able to; " so they said "We will make it easy for you" so I climbed until I came to the summit of the mountain where I heard terrible cries. Then] said "what are these cries?" They said "that is the howling of the people of Fire". They took me further until] came to a people who were strung up by their harmstrings, with their jaw bones torn and flowing with blood. So 1said: "Who are these?" They said: "Those who break their fast before the time at which they may do so " (Nasai).
