Please I heard that all Muslims would enter paradise, whether they are practicing their religion or are just Muslims by name! Is this true? Please I need an urgent response.

Alhamdulillah - The praise is for Allaah who in His infinite Mercy had made paradise the reward of those who believe in Him and obey His Messenger and perform acts of righteousness as they have been commanded for Him alone. Allaah says:

"Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allaah, then Allaah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode."(AI -Maaidah [5]: 72)

It then follows that whoever testifies to the oneness of Allaah sincerely will enter paradise. Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA) related that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

"...None will enter Paradise but a Muslim soul ... “ (Bukhari)

He also said:

"If anybody comes on the day of JResurrection who has said Laa ilaaha illa Allaah Sincerely with the intention to win Allaah's pleasure, Allaah will make the fire forbidden for him. "(Bukhari)

However, sincerity with this statement lies in fulfilling the five pillars of Islaam at the least.

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that a Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) and said, "Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise, if I do it." The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said,

"Worship Allaah, and worship none along with Him, offer the five prescribed compulsory prayers perfectly, pay the compulsory Zakaah, and fast the month of Ramadan." The Bedouin said, "By Him, in Whose Hands my life is, I will not do more than this." When he left, the Prophet said, "Whoever likes to see a man of Paradise, then he may look at this man."(Bukhari)

So, whoever is a Muslim, and deliberately abandons any of these five pillars has removed Allaah's protection and mercy from his own neck. If he abandons it while believing and saying that they are not obligatory upon him, then he has left Islaam and cannot be reckoned as a Muslim even if he bears the name Muhammad or Abdullah or all that is similar to them from the names of Islaam.

However, if he neglects these pillars out of laziness or some other reasons but believing it is obligatory upon him to observe them, he is still a Muslim but he is a very grave sinner liable to punishment by the fire of hell if he dies in such conditions. Narrated Buraydah bin al-Hasib (RA): Allaah's Messenger (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

"The covenant that is between them and us is on the basis of prayer, so he who abandons it, in fact shows disbelief (kufr) to Allaah.” (Tirmidhi).

But they will not remain there forever unlike the rest of the unbelievers. The Mercy of Allaah, then the intercession of the Messenger (peace and blessing be upon him) and others from the believers on the day of judgment, will remove them from it. Abu Hurairah (RA) related that: I said: "O Allaah's Messenger! Who will be the luckiest person, who will gain your intercession on the Day of Resurrection?" Allaah's Messenger said:

"... The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said Sincerely from the bottom of his heart ; "Laa ilaaha IlIa Allaah" - None has the right to be worshipped in truth but Allaah. " (Bukhari)

Abu Sa'eed AI-Khudri (RA) also related that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

"Concerning the people of the fire who will be dwellers of it, they will not die in it nor will they live. However, there will be a group of people whom the fire will burn due to their sins or their wrongdoings. So, He will cause them to die until they become bumt coal. Then the intercession will be allowed and they will be brought group after group, and they will be scattered over the rivers of paradise. Then it will be said: "O people of paradise! Pour down upon them." Then they will sprout like the growing of the seed that is upon the moist bank of the flowing stream." (Ahmad)

A sincere Muslim should not feel secure from Allaah's punishment because none from amongst the creation can withstand it as He says:

"Verily, the torment of your Lord is something to be afraid of!" (AI-Israa'eel [17]: 57)

Be aware that the fire of this life in its greatest intensity is just one part out of seventy parts from that of the hell-fire! Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

"The fire of the children of Aadam which they kindle is a seventieth part of the fire of hell." They said, "O Messenger of Allaah, this fire is certainly enough." He said, . "That fire is sixty-nine times greater." (Muwatta)

May Allaah save us from the Hell-fire.

 And Allaah knows best!
