Have you ever cerebrated about the magnificence of Allah through His creations? They’re extraordinary!
Truly He is Allah who deserves our greatest devotion!
Haven’t you noticed the number of trees in your locality? Whether those trees sprouted themselves or you planted them with your hands, the crux is that He, Allah, makes them be, and He knows their numbers. You may, thus, think: “the number is an easy one, isn’t it?” Now go further, can you count the number of branches each of those trees have? That’s getting a bit harder, right?
You can check further, can you count the number of leaves on those trees? Awe, isn’t it? And Allah knows just the count of those leaves. Not only that, He knows which is yellow or green, which is active or wilting, those ones that have fallen and their numbers and in fact, the days each will fall and die.
And with Him are the keys of the Ghaib (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in the land and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but he knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record. (Surah Al-Anam 6:59)
Even more intriguing is the reflection on the human body. Do you notice the number of blood vessels in your brain alone? They’re millions! What about the number of cells in each part of the body? They are enormous. They’re wondrous. They can’t be comprehended by the brain. You and everybody in the universe have how many blood vessels. It is just incomprehensible.
There are very many things that seem unexplainable to the human sense. In fact, they’re the bulk of the things which exist. How the plants grow from just a seed into many fruits. Some lasting forever, some for a year, some producing for more than a year. These wonders make one wants to cry. The Controller did all these. Yet we still pay allegiance to someone else. We still give preference to other things besides Allah.
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone). (Surah Dhariyat 51:56)
Look at the sky which is not breaking at any point. It has no end from one country to another. It is the same sky which is in the US that extends to Nigeria; yet, night falls somewhere and days occurs elsewhere. A lunar eclipse is felt somewhere and not felt elsewhere.
Why did we study the planet? Whatever reason, our attention should be called more as to how powerful our Creator – Allah – is. The nine planets are just a number. Several other planets exist which are uncountable and many of those planets, if not all, are gigantic than the only inhabitable planet – earth. Haven’t you wondered how the suns are so uncountable? Billions of stars which in fact outnumber humans. Planets, suns, stars outnumber humans!
Haven’t you wondered? If Allah orders those planets to fall on each of us, it’s no work to end the creation like that. Haven’t you wondered how Allah can make a vessel out of the billions that are in the body go adrift? That’s just a little thing. And when just one goes adrift, everything becomes haywire. Why then won’t we fear Him? Whey won’t we fear Allah, the Rabb of ‘Alameen (Universe).
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists). (Surah Al-Fatiha 1:2)
Have you noticed the bulkiness of elephants? Isn’t it intriguing that an elephant weighs more than a human? If you stop to think about it, there are in fact many animals which weigh far more than humans. Does this not make a suggestion? That we humans are small. That we are minute, we are weak. No matter the amount of technology we have, do you think we can control the invasion of beasts of lions? It’d be huge. We are weak and yet we behave as if we own everything. We neglect the fear of Allah. We neglect worship. We hear and we disobey.
Allah has honored us by giving us intellect. Haven’t you noticed that this is an honor bestowed on us by our Creator? There are bulkier creatures on earth; yet, Allah made us superior. So, why will we not just turn to our God in obedience?
We revel in our advancement of technology. Just so we know, which of those things do we produce ourselves without the raw materials from Allah. It is impossible, isn’t it? Indeed, Allah has destined that these things will be in existence, and He has enabled them for us through the various metals, chemicals, alloys, etc. that are available on the earth.
That earth itself is a wonderful creation of Allah worth thinking about. It is smaller compared to other creations of Allah, yet very many things are in it that are not on other planets. Breathable air, metals, plastics, minerals, and habitable lands are on this planet. It shows Allah has a purpose for creating us. It shows Allah is the best of planners, it shows Allah is the Rabb of ‘Alameen who creates and designs as He wills.
Wouldn’t we then worship Allah alone as He should be worshipped? He alone deserves to be worshipped. He alone deserves to be adored. He alone deserves to be prayed to. Why would we worship a creation? Why? A man like you. Why? Allah has revealed everything needed as proofs to us. The Qur’an is there for us to know about Allah and His worship. The Prophet, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), as well as all other Prophets and Messengers, have been sent to make things clear to us.
Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. (Surah Al-Imran 3:190)
Let’s turn and return. Let’s check and recheck ourselves. Let’s give thanks to Allah by worshipping Him. Let’s be real slaves of Allah. Let’s learn how to worship Allah rightly from pristine sources. Let’s busy ourselves with the worship of Allah. Let’s worship Allah as He should be worshipped.
