Ibn al-Qayyim Raḥimahullāh said: “For a slave, there is a curtain between him and Allāh and a curtain between him and the people, so whoever rips apart the curtain which is between him and Allāh then Allāh will rip apart the curtain which is between him and the people.”  [Kitāb al-Fawā`id pg. 59]
